President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration’s economic reforms are beginning to produce positive results and will place the country on a stronger path of growth and development.
The President gave the assurance while addressing party members and supporters after emerging as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 election.
Tinubu said his government remains focused on rebuilding the economy through reforms aimed at increasing investments, improving infrastructure, boosting local industries, and creating more jobs for Nigerians.
According to him, some of the decisions taken since he assumed office were difficult but necessary to prevent deeper economic problems and stabilise the country’s finances.
He stated that the administration is already seeing improvements in areas such as energy, revenue generation, agriculture, and investor confidence despite ongoing economic challenges facing citizens.
The President also acknowledged the hardship experienced by many Nigerians due to rising prices and cost of living, but insisted that the reforms are designed to produce long-term benefits for the country.
Tinubu promised that his government would continue to invest in roads, electricity, education, transportation, and social programmes aimed at supporting businesses and vulnerable Nigerians.
He further assured citizens that efforts to tackle insecurity and improve food production would remain a major priority of the administration.
The President urged Nigerians to remain patient and support ongoing reforms, saying economic recovery requires time, sacrifice, and national unity.
Tinubu also warned against policies that could reverse current reforms, insisting that continuity and stability are necessary for sustained economic growth.
He thanked APC leaders, governors, lawmakers, and supporters for their backing, describing his nomination as a renewed opportunity to continue serving the country.
Political observers believe the President’s speech signals the beginning of a stronger campaign push by the ruling party ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
