NNPC Deploys Over 1,000 Young Professionals After One-Year Training

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has deployed more than 1,000 newly recruited young professionals into different departments of the organisation after they successfully completed a one-year internship, training and assessment programme.
The deployment marks the completion of an intensive development programme designed to prepare the recruits for full-time roles within the national oil company. According to NNPC, only candidates who met the required performance standards during the training period were retained.
Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Bayo Ojulari, said the recruitment reflected the company’s commitment to building a workforce based on competence, professionalism and equal opportunity rather than personal connections.
He encouraged the new employees to uphold the values of integrity, innovation and excellence, stressing that their future growth in the organisation would depend on their performance and dedication.
Ojulari noted that the latest recruitment drive forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen NNPC’s human capital and position the company to meet the demands of Nigeria’s evolving energy industry.
The new employees have now been assigned to various operational and corporate units across the company, where they are expected to contribute to the delivery of NNPC’s strategic objectives.
The deployment is one of the company’s largest recent workforce development initiatives and is expected to inject fresh talent into key areas of the organisation as it pursues greater efficiency and commercial growth.
