Trump Rejects Claims of US Weapons Shortage, Orders Hunt for Information Leakers

US President Donald Trump has dismissed reports that the United States is running low on military weapons, insisting the country’s stockpile remains strong despite ongoing military operations. He also vowed to take tough action against anyone responsible for leaking what he described as sensitive national security information.

Trump made the remarks in a post on his Truth Social platform after media reports claimed the US had used a large number of its precision-guided missiles and air defence interceptors during recent military operations, raising concerns about the country’s weapons reserves.

The US leader rejected the reports as false, saying America still has “massive amounts” of munitions and is increasing production to strengthen its military capabilities. He added that those behind the leaks would face severe legal consequences.

Trump described the reported leaks as harmful to national security, arguing that revealing details about the country’s military stockpile could give America’s enemies useful information. He said his administration would identify those responsible and seek lengthy prison terms where the law allows.

The White House and the Pentagon also denied claims that the US military is facing a critical shortage of weapons. Officials maintained that the armed forces remain fully prepared to defend the country and continue ongoing operations.

The controversy followed reports suggesting that heavy military operations had placed pressure on supplies of some advanced missiles and air defence systems, prompting questions about the pace of weapons production.
