Tinubu Vows to Crush Terrorism and Banditry, Says Nigeria Will Not Surrender

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has restated his administration’s commitment to defeating terrorism and banditry across Nigeria, insisting that the country will not surrender to criminal groups destabilising communities.
The president made the declaration while reacting to ongoing security challenges across different parts of the country, where recent military operations have led to the rescue of kidnapped victims and the disruption of several armed groups. He said the federal government remains fully determined to restore peace and protect citizens from violent attacks.
Tinubu stressed that his administration is working closely with security agencies to intensify operations against terrorists and bandits, adding that recent coordinated military offensives show progress in the fight against insecurity. He maintained that the government’s priority is to ensure that all Nigerians held in captivity are freed safely.
He also noted that insecurity remains one of the biggest threats to national development, but insisted that Nigeria would not bow to intimidation or fear. In summary, Tinubu reaffirmed that the government will continue its military and security campaigns until terrorism and banditry are significantly reduced, promising that Nigeria will eventually overcome its current security challenges.
