PSG Seal Long-Term Deal for World Cup Winner Ferran Torres
Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Spanish forward Ferran Torres, securing the World Cup winner on a contract that will keep him at the French champions until 2031.
Torres’ arrival ends his spell at Barcelona and opens a new chapter in France, where he will work under PSG coach Luis Enrique and wear the club’s number nine shirt.
The 26-year-old joins PSG after an impressive career across Spain and England. He came through Valencia’s academy before moving to Manchester City in 2020, where he won the Premier League and League Cup and helped the club reach the Champions League final.
Torres moved to Barcelona during the 2021/22 season and went on to become a regular part of the club’s attack. He made 207 appearances for the Catalan side and scored 65 goals, winning three La Liga titles, the Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.
His move to Paris comes after a memorable summer with Spain at the 2026 World Cup. Torres played a decisive role in the final, scoring the only goal in extra time as Spain defeated Argentina to win the trophy, while he was also named Man of the Match.
Torres has already enjoyed success with the Spanish national team, having won the European Under-17 and Under-19 championships, the UEFA Nations League in 2023 and the European Championship in 2024.
The forward said he was excited to begin a new adventure with PSG and thanked club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, sporting director Luis Campos and Luis Enrique for the opportunity.
His arrival gives PSG another major attacking option as the French champions continue to strengthen their squad, with Torres now expected to begin a new challenge in Paris under a contract running until 2031.
