Eid-el-Maulud: Tinubu Calls On Muslims To Embrace Prophet Muhammad’s Virtues

President Bola Tinubu has urged Muslims across Nigeria to use the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud to reflect on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and apply his virtues in their daily lives.

Tinubu made the call in a goodwill message to Muslim faithful, encouraging them to look beyond the celebration of the Prophet’s birth and use the occasion as an opportunity for spiritual reflection, prayers and renewed commitment to values that strengthen society. 

The President highlighted devotion, perseverance, tolerance, humility and selflessness as some of the qualities demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad that Nigerians could learn from and practice in their communities.

He also appealed to Muslims to show greater concern for the needy and vulnerable, stressing the importance of extending kindness and support to people facing difficulties.

Tinubu called on Islamic scholars and other religious leaders to use the occasion to encourage their followers to embrace the teachings of the Prophet and promote responsible citizenship.

The President further asked Nigerians to continue praying for the country and its leaders, particularly as the nation works through its economic and security challenges.

He said the support of citizens through patriotism, patience and prayers remained important as his administration continued efforts to build a more secure and economically viable Nigeria.

The Eid-el-Maulud celebration marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad and provides an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on his exemplary conduct and teachings.

Tinubu congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and around the world on the celebration, while urging them to make the lessons of the occasion part of their everyday lives.
