Adamawa Police Nab Two Suspected Armed Robbers in Crackdown on Crime

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers believed to have been terrorising residents along parts of the state, in a renewed effort to clamp down on criminal activities in the region.

The suspects were reportedly apprehended by operatives of the command following intelligence-led operations carried out in identified criminal hotspots. Police said the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to rid the state of armed robbery and other violent crimes.

According to the police, the suspects had been linked to a series of attacks on motorists and residents, where victims were allegedly dispossessed of their valuables at gunpoint. Their activities were said to have caused fear among communities in affected areas.

Items suspected to have been used in carrying out the crimes were reportedly recovered from them during the operation. The police added that the suspects are currently in custody and assisting with further investigation.

The Command noted that the arrests followed a coordinated response by its operatives, who acted on credible intelligence and surveillance on the suspects’ movements.
