RCCG Founder’s Daughter Denies Criticising Church Leadership Over Father’s Legacy
The daughter of the founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has denied reports suggesting that she criticised the church leadership over the handling of her father’s legacy and succession matters.
She described the claims as false and misleading, insisting that she has not made any public statement attacking the leadership of the church or questioning decisions regarding the direction of the ministry.
The clarification came after reports and social media discussions linked her to comments allegedly expressing concerns about how her father’s contributions and legacy were being managed within the RCCG. She said the claims did not reflect her position.
The RCCG founder’s daughter maintained that she remains committed to honouring her father’s work and supporting the vision upon which the church was established. She urged members of the public to disregard information not coming directly from her.
She also warned against spreading unverified claims, noting that false reports could create unnecessary tension within the church community and misrepresent the views of individuals involved.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God, one of Nigeria’s largest Pentecostal denominations, has previously faced public discussions surrounding its leadership, public image and issues involving statements attributed to church figures.
The church leadership has repeatedly urged members and the public to rely on official communication channels when seeking information about the activities and positions of RCCG leaders.
The latest clarification is expected to put to rest speculation surrounding the alleged disagreement, as the founder’s family continues to distance itself from claims that it is challenging the current leadership structure of the church.
