Lagos Appoints New LTV General Manager

The Lagos State Government has appointed Kayode Oyekanmi as the new General Manager of Lagos Television, replacing former boss Sola Kosoko.
The appointment letter was presented by the Lagos State Head of Service, Bode Agoro, during a brief ceremony held at the Secretariat in Alausa, Ikeja, on Wednesday.
Oyekanmi takes over the position following the disengagement of Mrs. Sola Kosoko from the state-owned television station.
Before his new appointment, Oyekanmi served as Director of the Strategy Centre at the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, a role he held since 2022.
He is widely known as a communications expert with more than 30 years of experience in both the private and public sectors.
His areas of experience include advertising, public relations and export services. He began his public service career on March 1, 2000, at the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy.
Oyekanmi is an indigene of Lagos State from Isale Eko on Lagos Island. Over the years, he has received several awards for his contributions to journalism and public communication.
The new LTV boss holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos and a degree in English Language and Education from Lagos State University.
He is also a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Apart from his professional career, Oyekanmi is known as an avid reader and lawn tennis enthusiast.
He currently serves as the Charter President of the Lagos State Ministry of Information Toastmasters Club.
Speaking during the presentation, Head of Service Bode Agoro said he believes Oyekanmi has the ability to reposition Lagos Television and move the station forward.
Agoro wished the new General Manager a successful and impactful tenure in office.
The appointment is expected to usher in a new phase for Lagos Television as the station continues efforts to strengthen its operations and public reach.
