Hoodlums Attack Adeleke’s Convoy in Osogbo, No Casualty Recorded

Governor Ademola Adeleke’s convoy was reportedly attacked by suspected hoodlums in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, shortly after a visit to the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo.
The Osun State Government confirmed the incident, saying the attack occurred around the palace area while the governor and members of his entourage were moving through the city.
The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, said security operatives attached to the governor’s convoy quickly responded and repelled the attackers.
According to him, the incident did not result in any loss of life or injury, as the security team successfully contained the situation and secured the governor and other members of the convoy.
Alimi described those behind the attack as hoodlums and said the government was taking the incident seriously.
The attack comes amid heightened political tension in Osun State following the governorship election, which saw Adeleke declared winner.
Security authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify those responsible.
