30 Feared Dead, Homes Razed in Fresh Kaduna Terror Attack

At least 30 people have been killed after suspected terrorists launched a deadly overnight attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The attackers also set several houses ablaze, forcing residents to flee the community. 

Among those killed were women and children, with local residents saying eight children lost their lives during the assault. Several others sustained injuries, while many families were displaced after their homes were destroyed in the attack. 

Witnesses said the gunmen stormed the village late at night, shooting indiscriminately before setting buildings on fire. Many victims were reportedly trapped as the attackers moved through the community. 

Community leaders described the incident as one of the deadliest attacks in the area in recent months and appealed to the Federal Government to strengthen security across Southern Kaduna to prevent further bloodshed. 

Residents also expressed concern over what they described as a delayed security response, saying the attackers had fled before security personnel arrived at the scene. 

The latest attack has heightened fears among communities in Kauru Local Government Area, where repeated assaults by armed groups have continued to claim lives and destroy property despite ongoing security operations. 

Authorities have yet to announce any arrests in connection with the incident, while security agencies are expected to intensify operations to track down those responsible for the killings.
