Poco Lee’s UK Court Case Pushed To February 2027

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, will have to wait until February 2027 before his next major court hearing in the United Kingdom after proceedings scheduled for September 15 could not go ahead.

The Snaresbrook Crown Court fixed February 8, 2027, for the next plea and trial preparation hearing. His trial has also been scheduled to begin on March 8, 2027.

Poco Lee was expected to enter his plea during Tuesday’s hearing, but the proceedings were unable to continue because the charge sheet was reportedly not available. As a result, no plea was entered and the matter was adjourned.

The development extends the legal process by several months as prosecutors and the defence prepare for the next stage of the case. Poco Lee is expected to formally indicate whether he is guilty or not guilty when he returns to court in February.

The entertainer was previously granted bail on September 11 following his first appearance before the UK court. He remains on bail while the case continues.

The case has attracted significant attention in Nigeria, particularly after reports emerged that Poco Lee had been detained by UK authorities. His appearance before the court and subsequent bail decision later provided more clarity about the status of the proceedings.

Supporters of the dancer were also present at the court on Tuesday, with reports indicating that the courtroom gallery was filled and some people waited outside during the proceedings.

Poco Lee, whose career rose through dance and entertainment, became widely known after his performances gained popularity online. He later worked with several major Nigerian artistes and expanded his career into music and entertainment.

The allegations against him remain before the UK court and have not been determined. Poco Lee is presumed innocent unless and until he is found guilty by a competent court.
