NAF Confirms 25 Dead in Ondo Crash, Releases Full List of Victims
The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed the deaths of 25 people in the military aircraft crash in Ondo State and released the full identities of those who lost their lives in the incident.
The victims comprised five crew members and 20 passengers who were on board the aircraft when it crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State.
The Nigerian Air Force said the identities were released following the completion of the initial identification process, while a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has been ordered.
The tragedy has sparked mourning within the military community, with colleagues, relatives and associates of the victims paying tribute to the deceased.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, expressed condolences to the families of the victims and assured them that the circumstances surrounding the accident would be thoroughly investigated.
The Air Force also appealed to members of the public to avoid spreading unverified information about the incident as the investigation continues.
