Tensions Rise as Iran Promises Fierce Response to Trump

Iran on Thursday warned of “crushing” attacks against the United States and Israel, launching missiles toward Tel Aviv after US President Donald Trump threatened to intensify strikes on the Islamic Republic.

The conflict, which began over a month ago following joint US-Israeli attacks on Iran, has expanded across the Middle East, triggering global economic concerns and affecting millions worldwide.

In a televised address from the White House, Trump said the US was close to achieving its objectives but warned that attacks would escalate if Iran failed to agree to a settlement.

Iran responded swiftly, with Israeli air defence systems activated in Tel Aviv as missiles struck multiple locations, leaving at least four people with minor injuries.

The Iranian military command, Khatam Al-Anbiya, issued a strong warning, stating that the US and Israel should expect “more crushing, broader, and more destructive actions” as the conflict continues.

The escalation comes amid rising tensions during Passover, forcing some residents in Israel to celebrate in underground shelters due to ongoing air raids.

Despite renewed suggestions from Trump about possible negotiations, Iranian officials have rejected calls for a ceasefire, describing US demands as unrealistic and insisting there are no direct talks between both nations.

Meanwhile, the conflict has widened beyond Iran and Israel, with the Hezbollah launching drones and rockets into northern Israel, further intensifying hostilities in the region.

The war has also drawn in Gulf nations, with countries like the United Arab Emirates activating air defence systems in response to emerging threats.

Global markets have reacted sharply, with oil prices rising and stock markets falling amid fears of prolonged instability, particularly around the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Economic experts warn that the continued conflict could worsen inflation, disrupt global supply chains, and impact energy prices across multiple regions.

As tensions rise, both sides remain firm in their positions, raising concerns that the conflict could escalate further in the coming weeks.
