Deadly Trailer–Truck Accident Claims Six in Yobe

Six people were killed in a road traffic accident involving a trailer and a Canter truck on the Potiskum Damaturu highway in Yobe State.
The vehicles were said to have collided head-on after the truck allegedly entered the wrong lane, crashing into the oncoming trailer.
Witnesses at the scene said the impact left several occupants trapped in the mangled vehicles. Four persons inside the trailer died instantly, while two occupants of the Canter truck were also confirmed dead.
Two other victims were rescued alive and taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
The Yobe State Police Command confirmed the incident, describing it as a fatal collision involving a trailer and a truck along the busy highway.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, investigations have commenced to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash, while road users have been advised to exercise caution and comply with traffic rules to avoid similar incidents.
