US to Deport Nigerian Gang Member

The United States of America has announced plans to deport Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba, a convicted Nigerian, over his involvement in violent crimes and membership in a notorious street gang.

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) disclosed this in a statement on its Verify X page, noting that Ijaoba illegally entered the country and became a member of the Bloods, a gang widely known for violent activities.

According to ICE, Ijaoba’s criminal record includes assaulting a police officer with a firearm, armed robbery, drug sales, obstruction of justice, and escaping police custody. “He has a final removal order and awaits deportation in ICE custody,” the statement concluded.

This development is part of ongoing US efforts to clamp down on criminal aliens and curb violent crimes.

Earlier this year, Edwin Okoronkwo, another Nigerian, was also slated for deportation after serving a 75-month jail term for defrauding Americans, alongside his wife, Julie Okoronkwo, who was sentenced to 25 months for her role in the scheme.

The move underscores the US government’s continued focus on enforcing immigration laws and tackling criminal activities by foreign nationals.
