Lekki ‘Big Boy’ Declared Wanted

A well-known Eti Osa socialite, Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi, has been declared wanted by the Lagos State Police Command over the alleged murder of two individuals in separate incidents within the Eti Osa Local Government Area of the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, disclosed that the declaration followed the arrest and confessional statements of key suspects linked to the killings.
According to police findings, two suspects Safiu Fatai, also known as Fabo, and Yusuf Ismaila, alias Bariga — were arrested after investigations were reopened based on fresh intelligence. The suspects allegedly admitted involvement in the killing of Sheriff Salami Ishola, 37, who was murdered on April 18, 2023, in Moba Town, Ajah, and Prince Ademola Akinloye, 38, who was shot dead on August 26, 2024, along Chevron Road, Ajiran.
Police said the suspects claimed the attacks were carried out on the instruction of Akanbi, who allegedly hired them to execute the operations for financial rewards.

Following the development, operatives reportedly stormed parts of Eti Osa, including Akanbi’s residence, in a series of raids. During the operations, about nine men were arrested for questioning in connection with the ongoing investigation.
Two days ago, wives of some of the detained men reportedly protested to the Ojomu of Ajiran, seeking his intervention and vouching for the innocence of their husbands.
Information reaching The Royal Times indicates that Akanbi has allegedly been out of the country for over two months prior to the police declaration.
The Lagos State Police Command has urged members of the public with useful information on the whereabouts of the wanted suspect to report to the nearest police station, assuring that all information will be treated with strict confidentiality.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
