Just In: Soludo Votes, Alleges Vote Buying

Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his wife, Nonye, voted around 1:20 p.m. on Saturday at their polling station in Isuofia, Anambra State. After casting his ballot, Soludo claimed that a candidate from another political party was trying to sway voters through vote buying.
He explained that he used his voter card, which he had carefully kept in an envelope, and said the process at his polling unit was peaceful and well-coordinated. The governor urged residents to come out and vote, describing the election as a vital moment for the state’s democracy.
Meanwhile, the APC governorship candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, who voted at Osumenyi Ward 2, Polling Unit 012, accused some individuals of buying votes and intimidating his party’s agents. He warned that such acts could undermine the credibility of the election and called for urgent action from the authorities.
