A boat disaster in the Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State has claimed 24 while dozens others are still missing.
The sad incident, it was gathered occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, 10 September, 2023
The council chairman, Jibrim Muregi,, confirmed the accident, adding that the actual number of travellers cannot be ascertained at the moment.
According to Muregi, 24 bodies of the passengers who hailed from various communities of Gbajibo, Ekwa and Yankeiade, just as added that presently a rescue team is on ground to rescue and recover bodies.
