Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has handed down serious warning to goalkeeper Andre Onana to “step up” after his shaky start with the English Premier League club.
Recall that Ten Hag brought in Onana this summer to replace David de Gea as United’s no.1 after the Spaniard’s contract expired.
The Cameroon international, who joined Manchester United in a £47.2million deal from from Serie A giants, Inter, has come under fire after mistakes against Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and Brentford.
“For Andre, it is good to know, from that little bit of history, but also we live now and we live in the future. He has to make his future by making better performances.
“I’m sure he will do that and he has already shown that so many times in big clubs like Barcelona, when he was young. At Ajax, he was in the semi-final of the Champions League. He was in the final of the Champions League [last season with Inter],” Ten Hag said.
