Oil climbs for 3rd day as Middle East supply risks dominate

London, Oct. 3, 2024 – Oil rose for a third day as traders assessed supply risks in the Middle East, with Israel expected to make a retaliatory strike against Iran following Tehran’s missile barrage earlier this week. Brent crude climbed toward $75 a barrel, on course for the longest run of daily gains since August, while West Texas Intermediate was above $71.
