The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the last election, Peter Obi, has stormed the apex court, the Supreme Court filing an appeal on 51 grounds aimed at nullifying the election of President Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Obi cited dissatisfaction with the ruling Presidential Election Petition Tribuna, which dismissed its case.
Recall that Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, had approached the Tribunal, seeking to be declared the winner of the February 25 Presidential Election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), had declared Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC, the winner of the polls.
Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), however, are challenging the declaration of INEC in court.
The tribunal had upheld the victory of Tinubu, with both Obi and Atiku vowing to seek justice at the apex court.
But Peter Obi has now filed his petition at the Supreme Court.
