As part of its efforts to catch them young and provide platform for senior teams coaches to pick players from, the Nigeria Premier Football League(NPFL) has concluded plans to introduce the U-19 youth league.
The youth league is aimed at nurturing young talents and providing a platform for them to develop.
The announcement was made in a letter sent to all the NPFL clubs.
According to the football governing body, the teams will be divided into six zones across the country.
Recall that the league already had an U15 tournament called the NPFL/Laliga U-15 Youth League.
Remo Stars Academy, Boys Beyond Limits, won the 2023 edition of the competition in May.
