Brazil’s stylish striker, Neymay Jnr is at the verge of making history as he just needs to score one solitary goal to overtake Pele as Brazil’s all-time leading scorer
As things stand, Neymar, a former player of Spanish giants, Bacelona, and French Ligue 1 club side, PSG and now currently plying his trade with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia Pro league ,is currently at level with his legendary compatriot on 77 goals each.
It is just a matter of time before Neymar finds goal number 78 and overtakes the three-time World Cup winner Pele.
That historic strike number 78 is around the corner in a match between Brazil and Bolivia scheduled for the early hours of Saturday. Brazil will also trade tackles with Peru in a 2026 World Cup match next Tuesday
“It is hard to know what that record means, but it does mean a lot.No-one ever thought about overcoming that. It is something I will respond after it is done,” Neymar said ahead of the fixtures.
