Kano Tribunal Sacks NNPP Rep, Declares APC Candidate Real Winner; Gives Reasons

The candidate the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Yusuf Umar Datti, for the Kura/Madobi/Garun Malam Federal Constituency has been sacked by the National and State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal  in Kano State ,presided over by Justice Flora Ngozi Azingbe

Azingbe led tribunal, voided Yusuf’s election for his failure to resign from his lecturing job at Bayero University, Kano, within 30 days before the election, just as it also held that Datti could not convince the tribunal that he is a member of the NNPP.

Based on these two reasons, the tribunal declared Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the authentic winner of the election. The declared winner was a commissioner during the administration of former governor Abdullahi Ganduje in Kano State
