Operatives of the Amotekun Corps in Ogun State have confirmed the arrest of A 34-year-old man, Adebiyi Samuel, for allegedly killing his wife, Serah Ogungbe.The Deputy Commander of the Ogun State Amotekun Corps, Aina Oluwakayode, confirmed development in a statement issued on Thursday,17 August, 2023.
Olwakayode said the suspect was arrested in Ijebu-Igbo, Ijebu North Local Government Area of the state on Monday, 14 August, 2023 during a routine patrol.
The deputy commander of the corps, who said the suspect allegedly murdered the 27-year-old wife at Lekki Phase II in Lagos and later fled to hide in Ogun State, just as he added that Samuel admitted that he committed the crime.
According to Oluwakayode, Samuel would be handed over to the police headquarters at Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further interrogation on the matter.
