Katsina State Police Command has disclosed that gunmen suspected to be bandits on Saturday killed four farmers and kidnapped eight others from Nahuta village in Batsari Local Government Area of the state.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, who confirmed the attack on Sunday in Katsina, said the farmers were on the farms harvesting their crops when the assailants attacked them.
According to him, one of the farmers that managed to escape, received gunshot wounds.
“The suspected bandits attacked the farmers, opened fire on them thereby killing four and injuring one; they also abducted eight others,’’ Aliyu said.
