Gunmen kidnap Pastor, Wife, Children While Travelling In Delta Community

Gunmen on Friday 6 October, 2023 have kidnapped an Anglican priest, Rev Agbadamashi Emmanuel, his wife and children along the East-West road by Evwreni junction in Delta State.

The Public Relations Officer of the Anglican Communion, Ughelli Diocese, Hon Justice Iyasere confirmed the report in a telephone interview with an online medium

According to Iyasere, the cleric and members of his family were travelling from Ughelli to Uwheru community, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State when the gunmen attacked and kidnapped them.

As of the time of this report, the cleric and his family are still in captivity of their attackers.

As at the time of filing this report, the Delta State Police Command has yet to confirm or deny the development.
