Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is not yet back in the country as he is still in Germany recuperating from his illness
Akeredolu’s Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, stated this in a statement he signed and issued to newsmen late on Thursday evening .
The CPS’ statement came as a reports that the ailing governor would return to the country and come to the state next week.
The statement read, “Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, has not yet returned to the country. The governor is currently still on a medical vacation in Germany.
“We would like to assure the good people of Ondo State and Nigerians in general that the governor’s return will be widely publicised.
“While we acknowledge that his return is imminent, we urge our citizens to disregard any false information and preemptive mischief orchestrated by jittery politicians.
“For emphasis, Governor Akeredolu has not yet returned to the country.”
Due to ill health, Governor Akeredolu travelled to Germany for a medical vacation and has since handed over the power to his deputy, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in an acting capacity
