At least no fewer than 11 Lagos-bound traders from Isah and Bungudu local government areas of Sokoto State perished in a road accident along Koko Road in Kebbi State.
The traders numbering 115 were said to be taking their maize and onions to Lagos when the driver of the trailer they were traveling in lost control and crashed at Dadah village in Koko-Besse Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Witnesses said eleven of the traders died on the spot while those injured are being treated at Koko General Hospital in Kebbi.
The Kebbi State Police Command, as at the time of filing this report, has yet to confirm the sad development.
