Kano Pillars have appealed the fine imposed on them by the Nigerian football governing body, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), just as it also pleaded for leniency over the action of its supporters.
The Club, which is also addressed as Sai Masu Gida were fined N1 million for fans’ encroachment during the matchday four encounter against Rivers United at the Sani Abacha Stadium last Sunday.
Kano Pillars media officer, Idris Malikawa, made this disclosure, adding that the club has written a letter to the NPFL to reconsider their decision.
Malikawa added that the club have also pleaded for leniency from the NPFL.
