Man Stabs Wife To Death, Lands In Police Cell, Gives Reason For His Action

A man named Bem Matthew of Korinya-City, Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State, is presently cooling –off in one of the cells of the state police command  for allegedly stabbed his wife to death.

It was gathered that Matthew committed the act around 7:03 am on Tuesday, just as it was also gathered that neighbors stormed the scene of the incident and apprehended the suspect while the deceased’s body was taken to the mortuary.

The suspect was eventually arrested by men of the Konshisha Divisional Police Station.

Responding to questions at the police station, the suspect gave reason for his action, saying  he stabbed his wife to death because she was no longer “submissive to him”.

It was gathered that the union between the man and his wife was blessed with four children.

The remains of the deceased was deposited at the mortuary of Saint Joseph’s Clinic and Maternity, Korinya City .

As at the time of filing this report, the Benue State Police Command is yet to comment on the sad development.
