Gunmen have reportedly shot to death a young man identified as Christopher Nicholas at his father’s compound along the Oviri-Ogor/Edjekota road in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was gathered the deceased, had recently completed his duplex and was making arrangements to move into his new house by the end of October. He was temporarily staying in his father’s compound when he met his untimely death.
It was gathered that the gunmen trailed the clergyman Pastor Nicholas Omoroka to his and shot him in front of his house.
But the cleric, who had just returned from a journey, reportedly escaped into the bush, and unfortunately, his son, who was in a neighbour’s house when the gunmen attacked his father was shot dead when he came out after hearing the sound of gunshots.
Christopher, who was said to be in his 20s, was shot several times and killed by the gunmen, who thereafter went in search of his father.
As at the time of filing this report, Delta State Police Command has yet to confirm the sad development.
