Following his affirmation of his election and that of his principal by the Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday, Vice President Kashim Shettima has vowed to retire the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, from politics to rear goats, boilers.
According to the vice of president Bola Tinubu, the former Borno governor said he would retire Atiku to Kombina, not Dubai or Morocco, where he would rear animals-goats, broilers
Shettima stated this to newsmen immediately after the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal verdict, which affirmed the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
We are not going to retire Atiku Abubakar to Dubai or Morocco. I will retire him to Kombina, I will buy him goats and broilers and layers so that he can spend his days rearing goats and broilers,” he said.
Theroyaltimes.com reported that the five-man panel, in a final judgment read by Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani, dismissed the three petitions filed by the trio PDP, Labour Party (LP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Tsammani led five man panel of judges also resolved all the issues against the petitioners in favour of the respondents, President Tinubu, his Vice, Shettima and ruling All Progressives Congress(APC)
While the APM is yet to make its line of action known, both the PDP and the LP candidates, Abubakar Atiku and Peter Obi, respectively, have vowed to challenge the judgment at the Supreme Court.
They made their decisions public on Wednesday, shortly after the Tribunal dismissed their petitions.
