The management of English Premiership League (EPL) giants, Manchester United are set to punish Jadon Sancho for lashing out at Dutch manager, Erik ten Hag on social media, Daily Mail football reports.
Ten Hag had claimed that that he dropped Sancho for their 3-1 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday, because of the player’s poor attitude in training all week.
However, the 23-year-old reacted furiously on social media, accusing his manager of lying and making him a scapegoat
However, Ten Hag is standing by his remarks and United may initiate disciplinary action against Sancho.
Sancho may well put in the effort to reclaim his position in the squad, albeit it seems improbable given the Englishman’s public declaration.
Sancho’s latest fall-out with his manager has plunged his future at Old Trafford into doubt at the end of a summer in which United were prepared to listen to offers of £45million for him.
However, the Times report has claimed Sancho has an uncertain future at Old Trafford and all options are open after the player bust-up with his manager
The report adds: “Sancho’s riposte has not gone down well at Old Trafford and club insiders were debating on Monday whether the former Borussia Dortmund man would play for the club again.”
Sancho has not started a single game for Manchester United this season and did not make the squad against Arsenal. The transfer window is still open in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. That is one option for United to wash their hands of the situation.
The report claims neither Sancho or Ten Hag is due in at Carrington immediately due to days off because of the international break, so there may not be a quick resolution to solve the issue,
Manager and player may still squash the issue promptly and move on. If that is the case, Sancho will have to deliver on the pitch.
Sancho would argue that he has to get a chance to get on the pitch first. And to do so, he must deliver 100 per cent in training.
Recall that Cristiano Ronaldo was kicked out of the club for publicly challenging Ten Hag.
Whether that will happen remains to be seen but the issue has once again brought to the public domain the disciplinary problems and personal issues that have blighted the career of the gifted winger.
